A new brand identity for the sexual health team of Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was launched at the Swindon Pride event this month.
Laura Hill, sexual health adviser for Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, talks about the appropriateness of launching the new Love Life! brand at the Swindon Pride event:
“Pride is about choice; it’s about sex being for everybody whether you are gay, straight, old or young. It’s about what type of sex people want to have, who they want to have it with and keeping safe while having it. It’s about celebrating healthy sex lives.”
The Love Life! brand was developed by NHS Creative following the award of a tender in the summer of last year. As well as developing T-shirts, various promotional items and a series of pull-up displays for use at events like Pride, the cornerstone of the new brand has been the development of a new Swindon Sexual Health website, designed, built and delivered by NHS Creative. The new site uses content management software and incorporates a responsive design to ensure it’s as accessible via a mobile or tablet device as it is via a PC.
Visuals for the re-brand that we produced at tender stage
Dr Guy Rooney, medical director and consultant in Sexual Health and HIV for Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said:
“We decided on the Love Life! name because we wanted to promote the fact that looking after your sexual health is a positive and healthy thing to do. Whatever your age or background, it’s just as important to look after your sexual health, as it is any other aspect of your health. With this fantastic new website, you can now find out about all of our clinics, services and opening times in one place.”
As well as Swindon Pride, the sexual health team had a stand at a local shopping centre
So far the response to the new brand has been overwhelmingly positive. To read a local press story about the launch, click here.
